Members' 150th Melbourne Cup Dinner Series
Thursday, 1 July 2010-
To celebrate the 150th running of the Melbourne Cup, Members and their guests are invited to a landmark series of exclusive dinners, proudly supported by Longines, featuring the fine food of Grossi Florentino combined with the fascinating history of our great race and the city of Melbourne. There will be five dinners in the series, with each event highlighting a thirty year period in history.

Travelling photographic exhibition, Heroes and High Drama: 150th Melbourne Cup Exhibition Series will be brought to the Esso BHP Billiton Wellington Entertainment Centre in Sale as part of the Victoria Racing Club’s 150th Melbourne Cup celebrations.

150th Melbourne Cup Symposium

'Why the Melbourne Cup really is the Race that Stops the Nation - and how it happened'. A collection of racing personalities, historians and public thinkers will discuss and debate the national allure of the Melbourne Cup from many different angles in the national capital itself to mark the 150th running of the great race. The trophy for this year's Cup will be a special guest.
Members' Concert Evening - Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

Featuring music from classic musicals of stage and screen, such as Carousel, Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music and The King and I, Members and their guests are invited to attend Some Enchanted Evening: the best of Rodgers & Hammerstein by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
